Good Grief! Towards Evidence-Informed Practice and Practice-Informed Research


Hosted by Curtin University, this symposium will showcase the latest in grief and loss research presented by researchers from Western Australia.


You can expect to be impressed by a range of high-quality presentations that will be complemented by a moderated conversation between practitioners.

Confirmed speakers include an exciting combination of health professionals, researchers, educators and policymakers, across a range of disciplines and sites including palliative care and universities.

  • The role of health professionals

  • Bereavement risk assessment

  • Evidence-based  interventions

  • Carers’ perceptions

  • The impacts of community attitudes, social support and networks

  • Ethical issues


There will be an opportunity to engage in some creative activities that will continue to the full day Conference the following day.
